A note from the CEO
Dear Ability Works Community
It’s hard to believe it’s already June. As many of you know, in May, I shared that I would be stepping down as CEO of Ability Works. Since then, I’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness and warmth shown to me, especially from those of you who took the time to write with generous messages. I want to sincerely thank you. I have not had the chance to respond to each note individually, but your words have meant a lot.
In true Ability Works spirit, life here continues to thrive. This edition of the newsletter captures that energy perfectly — from incredible shoutouts for Josh, Wendy and George, to well-deserved awards for Hanan, Warrick, Daniel and Sam. I also loved reading about the success of our Customised Employment participant Jayden, and the inspiring contributions from our Inclusive Design and ERC teams.
What makes Ability Works so special isn’t just the work we do — it’s the people who bring it to life. Every story in this newsletter is a reminder of how far we’ve come together, and the strong, values-led culture that continues to grow.
Thank you for the part you play in making this organisation the vibrant, inclusive and purpose-driven place it is. I look forward to seeing what the next few months bring, and I remain full of admiration for all that you do.
