Inclusive Employment Australia commences at Ability Works
Ability Works Australia has, for the past 3 years, helped NDIS participants with intellectual disabilities secure fulfilling roles in mainstream employment. We are very grateful to the Paul Ramsay Foundation and the Department of Social Services‘ Structural Adjustment Fund for the vital grant funding they have provided to develop and expand this one-of-a-kind service in Australia.
In a major milestone for Ability Works, we are delighted to announce that we were successful in our tender to deliver specialist Intellectual Disability services under the Inclusive Employment Australia contract to all Employment Service Areas around Melbourne, with our contract commencing on 1st November 2025. Our Employment Services team are now rolling out IEA across all of Melbourne, including at our ‘hub’ location in Kew, and 14 outreach locations – from Melton in the West, to Broadmeadows in the North, Greensborough in the North-East to Ringwood in the East, from Pakenham to Frankston and all the way down the Mornington Peninsula, as well as throughout bayside and inner-suburban locations such as Carlton North, Coburg, and Brunswick North.
This will ensure that IEA participants can now benefit from the specialist skills of our Customised Employment team, and you won’t require NDIS funding.
